Project
Nation-wide project for electric energy management and power factor correction in Turk Telekom centres
Client
Türk Telekom (Turkey)
Background / objectives
The telephone company opened a request for bids and CIRCUTOR won against world-class competitors. The goal was to define a cabinet with two functionalities: energy measurement units with communication capacities and a capacitor bank to reduce reactive power, filter harmonics in the network and optimise the power available in the network for each centre. All centres should be interconnected with our software
General description
The purpose was to design a special reactive energy regulator and expand the existing reactor product range, all in record time and with a minimal impact on cost. CIRCUTOR offered and supplied the products, which were assembled in Turkey by our subsidiary. 830 units were initially installed in 2009.
Key features / Results
- A successfully completed project by CIRCUTOR in a major national telecommunications company
- The project was subsequently expanded to 1,000 centres
- A more usable network was achieved (20% more), as well as the advantage of having energy measurements and power reports in real time at each centre.
